donnie:<direction of aol/institutional day trading> I am back from breakfast. HAL and edamo did a great job in my absence. In answer to your question, I see no sign of aol going down further today. All the institutional mo mo money elsewhere today, as I'm sure you can see. I am very glad you see the need to almost day trade some of these very high volume issues, because this is the new secret cash flow machine of the century. Institutional day trading, when coordinated with highly computerized market making options strategies (as only a few can do---there are only a few Goldman Sachs around), result in gigantic off balance sheet cash flows---as the Dell corporation itself is demonstrating IN SPADES. Why should we not participate? It also produces the kinds of dips in a stock like aol has, in the past two days. It should be no particular surprise that aol is not participating in the mo mo money today. On a larger scale, I wish there was more disclosure on a current basis, of these HUGE OPTIONS PROFITS. When the volume on any stock is gigantic, it is easy for the instutitions to pull off these cash flows. We should not be embarrassed to participate. Was it freeus who first talked about institutions renting the inut stocks for plays? In about two days, the extremely high volume inuts will be back in the sand box. I will be in touch, re aol, if i see something major.
