Well, I like you and Coby both, so I don't feel all that brave...but thanks for the comment about being gracious.

As far as stupid stocks that I own....hmmmm...let me cut your comment and study it....is that you own some really dumb bad stock. Which you hold regardless of reason. ANd that despite all evidence to the contrary, you are convinced will turn around and move from .12 to 157.00 one day. ANd then split. AND--- you have to be PROUD of it.

do puts count? <g> i have some wonderful worthless puts. that are in fact no bid :-) how about schrk (june 55 sch puts) or slrpz...how about my precious msqse or dlqqf...

Why my life is wonderful today...Well I have some wonderful friends including some very fine people on si...some wonderful cats...the Masters golf tournament is this weekend...just got out of a meeting with my boss and survived...have good health....it's a beautiful day....

dignity and self-respect....hmmm...i probably suffer there....but is the ability to laugh at yourself close enough? i do stooopid things like anyone...including arguing with good folks like coby sometimes...

thanks for the welcome even if i don't meet the strict standards or become a regular...it's nice to be welcome...the myth and mb threads are so huge anymore...that's a lot to keep up with.

:-)

Owning a dumb stock . . . Did my DAR posting priveleges terminate
upon my sale of CUBE during its latest shortlived upswing?

is that you own some really dumb bad stock.

My dear penni, what you did not mention is that quantity gets big brownie points. A single, measly dumb bad stock? Why, what with the tightening of our admission requirements last month, that would only get one probationary status (assuming letters of recommendation are in order), with the stern admonition to purchase additional ones, or at least massively average down in the one you have regardless of the dictates of reason.

Preferably, these bowwows should comprise at least one third of one's portfolio. Especially ones where you never had any earthly idea why you bought them in the first place, or at least have completely forgotten the rationale that you had used way back when.
