Another idea is for them to get on the various Internet TV broadcasts. E.g., TVonthWEB.com, Broadcast.com or whatever. I'm sure current pricing is low and it may be possible to do some real target marketing. I think they need to create customers, thereby creating a demand.

In todays point and click world where choices seem endless, its not enough to push a product. The whole value network has to be attacked and modified.

Why not have a hard edged campaign along the lines of "Aren't you sick and tired of paying for taking horse p___! Here is something, made from plants; not a replacement but different and cheaper" possible hinting that its better. Heck, I'm no marketing genius but selling this should not be that hard.

As a final note.

With the Internet it is possible to market right into their cubicles at the office or the bedroom at home. This includes the husbands as well.

Right now there is a frenzy of activity surrounding Internet content and video/audio delivery technology (see IATV, AHWY, TUNE,... as well as Yahoo's purchase of broadcast.com). Clearly there is a perception that narrow-cast to mini (if not micro) niches is part of the Internet future. Its a great time to jump onto this bandwagon with an information campaign. I doubt if the stodgy AHP would do this.
