skeets, AMD is much like AMZN in that the more they sell, the more they lose. But whereas AMZN has the hope of the future on their side, AMD has only a tainted past. They can't go to the market, like AMZN, to rasie more capital, because of that tainted past. With only one large scale FAB currently running, and a second still six months off (at best), any manufacturing hiccup is brutal. Trying to steal share from INTC has proven to be devastating to the company. They have to compete in other ways. And they will.
