Russia moaning about price Maybe NEC was cheaper because the Russians didn't allow for the fact that Qualcomm was financing the construction and they need a return on investment. If that's not the case, the answer is simple, buy from NEC instead. ------------------------------------------------------------------- Qualcomm, which already supplied equipment installed in the Saratov region, was intended to supply some equipment for a project involving U.S. phone network operator Leap Wireless International Inc. and Russia's Tass Telecom to install $500 million of wireless phone equipment across Russia over the next several years.
