C-problem w/posterior fusion is that the entry slice comes from the back of the neck to access the spine. In this case we were fusing T-1 thru C-6 so it was a long cut...and the longer the cut the more muscle has to be moved to get at the spine and attach two plates on either side of the vertebrae. So essentially the problem is muscle...the more you move the more you pay for pain wise. And the screws...they screw the plates into the bone and bone pain is right up there on pain scale.

BUT...doing better each day. I encourage those who are able to down a few for me...no suds on present regimen.
