Now if Meyerson's profit of $1.9Mil in the last quarter (ended January 31, 1999) was so significant, why did he sell so much stock?

Either:
1) he didn't the firm was profitble for the quarter (hmmm.....)
2) or he knew the results were basically due to non-recurring trading profits. (Hint: Look up the company's historical P/L record.)
