FRIDAY: G&K INDEX UP .72% TO 136.7 Talking to myself, since this is the first post on the thread today. The Index was led upward by orcl (+11% - dead cat bounce?), counteracting the -3.2% posted by dell. The ytd leader is our newly discoveret Gorilla-lette, qcom, which has yielded an astounding 162% return ytd to the investors wise enough to have purchased by the start of the year, while orcl ownership during the same period has cost it's investors a reduction in capital of 39.8%. Extreme Networks is the hot new entrant in the Networking Arena (layer 3 ethernet switches), and after ipo'ing at 17 yesterday, spiked to over 65 this morning and then settled down to close at 55 3/8 (a good example of why it's insane to put in an overnight market order for the first day's trading of an ipo).
