At this point they are damned if they do and damned if they don't. Hoist by their own petard, so to speak.

The problem is this: the options have moved from being incentives to entitlements. If employees are not compensated they will leave. The company has two choices. Either reprice options or give people raises. My guess is that they choose the former, hoping to fool investors once again. They probably will get away with it. But they dare not pull this game with top management because of the lawsuits.

Just my guess.
