Saw a woman near Costco, a shopping cart woman. I didn't have my camera, goddamit. She had two full carts, and was ferrying them across a busy six lane street, one at a time. Very carefully, in the crosswalk with the signs. They were FULL of stuff. On the top of the second one to come across was a big cat. He waited patiently over there, for the light to change and her to come back and get him, on top the cart, and then rode across. I would be scared to death my numbnut kitties would get run over. But he looked like they had been together for years. Something about it makes me very sad, and happy. I cry and smile.
