News today regarding TCI/ATT delay just to prove that Ahhaha's understanding on ATHM is way ahead of most of us here. Since the concerns that he's been bitching and moaning about are one the table now, it would be nice to have him back for further insight. Please don't waste time on those "gap down $20" bullshit with him anymore because you (probably sold already) can't predict and he is not God either.

Yihsuen- I will be the first one to welcome Ahhaha back (when he comes back). I have already stated that Ahhaha is a very bright person and knows a great deal more than the average threadster (Me included!). I doubt there is anyone that would dispute that last statement.
What has fueled the anger among ATHM followers is the comment, (and I paraphrase because I am too lazy to look it up!) "@Home's real value is around $60 a share." Many regarded that statement as exactly what it was..."tomfoolery". Investors know the value of this company and have voiced their approval via the current stock price. As far as a "20 pt. gap down," those that have followed ATHM long enough know that this can and will happen...down as well as up. If an individual is going to make those predictions, they need to have broad shoulders and be man or woman enough to face the criticism when they're wrong.
When you said that Ahhaha predicted what is currently "on the table," I am not sure what your are talking about. Ahhaha has been so cautious with @Home (no, pessimistic is probably a better word), that I'm not surprised he commented on cable companies not rolling out the wire on time. I don't think any of us were unaware of that being a potential problem.
Lastly, a person who refers to others as garbage is lowered from that pedestal of respect. He/She participating in that behavior probably deserves whatever comes their way. A bunker far away from civilization is probably the best home.

As always IMHO,
Ed

If his understanding was way ahead of most of us here, he would be long the stock. Knowledge (root "Know" ) is not wisdom. Ahhaha has much knowledge, but has little wisdom which is the application of. Knowledge tells you ATHM is a great stock, but wisdom is what makes you buy it! It is a very simple equation. ATHM + buy= Wisdom. ATHM + sell= regret. ATHM + short= repossession or foreclosure. Just showing off some of my hard earned math skills.

Hello Yihsuen,

Nice looking sneakers you have on. NOOOO I did not sell.

I will take your word for it that Ahhaha he is way ahead of you in understanding of ATHM.

He was the one who predicted the $20 gap downs. I (we) did not claim that he was god (did you?). We only pointed out that he was likely to be wrong (and we were correct).

It appears to me that you miss your guru and may have a problem thinking for yourself. If this is true, you may want to think twice if asked to drink grape koolaid or if someone asks you to take a ride on a comet.

Regards,

Wingman
