I'm not sure when AOL sold. I don't think that BII is required to announce the event either. It may have been a slow gradual selloff, or it might have been a one shot deal. Your guess is as good as mine. What I *CAN* assure you however is that AOL made a tremendous amount of money from investing in BII.

I don't think it's a big deal that they reduced their holding in BII, especially in light of the fact that they've got a large dollar agreement with Ebay now. Perhaps it was part of Ebay's stipulations, who knows? Who cares? The link to Bid.Com is still there on AOL.

The fact BII nor AOL announced is a non-issue. Same thing happens all the time. I believe in fact AOL had a piece of XCIT and sold it on or just before the takeover news from ATHM, but I don't think either company announced it, it simply came out from other sources, just as this news did.

As I say, happens all the time. Will BII or Rogers announce when Rogers sells their shares? It wasn't a significant shareholding in % terms, didn't REQUIRE an announcement, and why make a big deal out of it...or rather, why offer it up as something for people to make a big deal of?
