I agree with you. Many of the smaller stocks have been in a bear market for well over a year. I am seeing values that would ordinarily be very tempting to me in a normal environment. My problem is this. I suspect that when the big ones blow up, everyone is going down with the ship. My only solution is to require a larger than normal margin of safety.

What is really appalling is that the NAESX index is the same as 3 years ago while the S&P has doubled. In other words, the average small cap investor has made no progress in three years.
