<Vertical portals are destination sites. They license or produce content that is closely tied to what the retailers want to sell. For Example, the Internet Travel Network has license content from the travel publisher Rough Guides...A portal is something you go through to get somewhere. A destination is where you go to get something done > from Red Herring, 12/98 GNET is already there...stock broker and trading sites on SI, targeted banners on other sites like Playsite and the Travel Store. The best is yet to come IMHO. And the GNET segment WAS heavily requested by viewers. They got so many e-mails they had to do it. And I didn't send any either :)
