Someone mention 'teacup & handle'?
A couple of days ago someone mentioned a classic teacup and handle chart formation but I'm not sure it was on this board.
Could someone explain what the 'teacup and handle' chart means and what it means to break out of it?

There was a Bloomberg news item posted I believe around 2:30.

Unfotunately, I've read it only around 7pm. This is what I can recall from that item.

Bell Atlantic in pact with Nortel and Alcatel for broadband equipment. The potential size of the deal was estimated at $1.8 billion. Cannot recall how the money would be split. Aware mentioned in connection with Nortel. Strangely, cannot find this release on the net.

Another item was about Bell Atlantic extending its contract with Westell for another five years.

DSL all around in both releases. Needs to be investigated further

Repnikk
