You foolish programmers! Always punch sequence numbers in your cards so that you can run them through a sorter if you drop them. That is just good programmer practice. And if you break that rule, you are fired! Oh yeah, and use two bytes for the year. Memory is to expensive to use four-byte years. Besides that, you will be retired by 2000 and your code will have been replaced long before its a problem!
