Remember, last year SLM wanted to buy them out dirt cheap for 25 cents, and it was rejected by the shareholders. The company is now in much better shape and it is trading at 15 cents. It is grossly undervalued. But, hey, the herd usually waits for the shepherd to make a move. They will wake up soon...

>>Chart is starting to look good. Company is becoming profitable. <<

Hi Ari,

Hmmmm, Data Mining! About three years ago, I read a pretty good overview on the growing importance of this area. Since then, I have been looking for some good data related companies to invest in. This company has my interest now. Especially after the spike today! Well time to start digging deeper into this story.

I'm very interested in seeing how this plays out.

Crazy Canuk

First thing I look for in a stock is what the insiders are doing. This usually gives an over all picture of the health of the company and gives some insight into future growth. In this case the insiders have been loading up for the past year. I got the insider trading reports from Carlson online (http://www.fin-info.com/) and from the proxy reports on sedar (http://www.sedar.com)

As of March 2 1999 the insiders owned 3,293,863 shares and 1,980,000 options to buy shares between .10 and $1. Of these shares 2,331,000 have been bought in the past year and most of them in the past 6 months. In the past year not a single share has been sold by insiders or deemed insiders of the company. In addition the company issued themselves 350,000 at .10 and 75,000 at .12.

As of March 2 1999
Eric Apps (President) owns 2,057,000
Eric Apps owned 100,000 in March 2 1998
Bought 1,957,000 in the past 5 months

As of March 2 1999
Joe Martin (Chairman of the board) owns 300,000
Joe Martin owned 75,000 in March 1998
Bought 225,000 in the past 6 months

As of March 2 1999
Donald W. Paterson (Director) owns 100,000
Donald W. Paterson owned 0 shares in March 1998
Bought 100,000 in the past 3 months

As of March 2 1999
Janice Morrison (deemed insider) owns 68,500
Janice Morrison owned 1,000 in March 1998
Bought 67,500 in the past year

As of March 2 1999
Lon Vining (Senior Officer) owned 65,000
Lon Vining owned 21,000 in the March 1998
Bought 44,000 in the past year

As of March 2 1999
Kenneth Ono (Senior Officer) owned 409,783
Kenneth Ono owned 404,783 in March 1998
Bought 5,000 in the past year

James Estill (President EMJ Data) owned 293,580
James Estill owned 293,580 in March 1998

In addition, $322,500 was owed by the company to the directors, officers and a third party. Instead of getting the money directly from the company these individuals got a notes from the company which converts the dept. into shares on Feb. 28, 2001 at a 20 day trailing average trading price of the shares on the day converted.

On March 2 1997 the insiders of the company owed a grand total of 393,580. Since that time it looks like the insiders have gained a ton of confidence in their company and are now willing to put their own money on the line. In my opinion this is a very good sign.

Best Regards
KEITH
