Speaking of SEEQ, can someone please explain to me why SEEQ is currently priced the way it is?

JefF: This was my primary concern about the cutback in R&D that I have expressed to both LSI as well as to others on this board such as Shane just before he departed. For me, one of the attractions of LSI was the extremely high percentage (20%) of revenues that "old" LSI spent on R&D. In part this percentage was high because LSI was holding its own in a sideways to down market. But now that the semi market is returning to it more normal growth, it is my hope that long-term, LSI will sustain its position and return to its previous levels of R&D--with the caveat that the R&D for the actual Storage Division not be that high.

My hope of course is that the R&D delay in ATM is merely a pause waiting for the product demand to catch up with what is already available in ATM.
