Would someone volunteer to compare and contrast FLC & RIG? I understand they are both major deepwater drillers. What are the advantages of one over the other?
Thanks,
Larry

Shell Oil to invest $900 mln in Gulf project
HOUSTON, April 8 (Reuters) - Shell Oil Co. said on Thursday it planned to spend $900 million to develop a major deepwater oil and gas discovery in the Gulf of Mexico.

Named for cartoon character Popeye's arch-nemesis, the Brutus field, located 165 miles southwest of New Orleans is thought to contain over 200 million barrels of oil equivalent.

The announcement by the Royal Dutch/Shell group unit is a potent sign of the Gulf of Mexico's vitality, coming less than a month after a lackluster government lease sale for the province.

It also underscores the long-term nature of deepwater oil and gas production.

BigBull, Yes I referenced a very important internal energy industry guideline- and I'll say it again- oil demand growth tracks GNP growth in most countries (all industrialized countries for sure)on a 1:1 basis..... IMO OPEC will need to add production back to the market later this year....

Went to buy more WFT this morning and dang! Missed the boat....(Go to audioinvestor.com and listen to the Spears' interview and his portion a bout compression services.. another suggestion...

I have one good value play in software cos I see- write me off line....
