Fab,

BIG DOWN SIDE COMING FOR MU.

There are so many rumours swirling around right now that it would make me dizzy, if I wasn't already dizzy from MU's ticker tape antics. Even when it stays flat (mid-day today) it does it in a weird way.

These are some of the bullish rumours I have heard:

a. Wall Street is going to "buy" the integrated logic chip in a big way Message 8779672

b. MU has discovered a way to manufacture 64Megabit DRAM (series80) in a way that only costs them $3 each messages.yahoo.com

c. MU is going to be the subject of a friendly takeover bid in the next day or so (no link)

d. On May 17 the Department of Commerce is going to slap up to 70% duties on Taiwanese DRAM and Wall Street will see this as a huge positive for MU

e. Soloman Smith Barney is covering its short on MU and going long 700,000 shares in the next couple of days

And some of the bearish rumours:

f. 64Megabit DRAM pricing will continue steady decline to the point where MU is losing big bucks

g. MU will go broke because it can't come up with enough cash to both operate and pay its debts+interest, especially with certain interest deferrals coming due in June

h. TI will start selling its MU shares in large quantities this month

i. MU insiders will resume selling despite stock price being well off its recent highs Message 8793626

I would appreciate it if people here would vote for their favourite rumour, or give a probability figure to each one if you like. I am willing to summarize the results if there are several posts.
