OT Even auf English, Bernhard's prose is amazing. He never invested in stocks you know! He was afraid of the markets. I have this amazing coffee table book on him I bought in a fabulous bookstore in Hamburg. Put together by Sepp Dreisinger. A terrific book of photos with a foldout of a cartoon. A Catholic prcession is going by and Bernhard is pissing on a statue! It's great. One of my friends in Wien used to ride the bus with him. He said he coughed all the time! He and I visited Mahler's grave in Grinzing. WOnderful. remember-- after she had done all the big guys in Wien, she had herself interred neben Gustav! She knew!!
