My comment about the tight control on the cutting of timber in Quebec was simply to point out that exploration companies don't prepare a lot of drill pads ahead of the active pad because they would run the risk of upsetting both the Ministry of Natural Resources, and drill pads can be prepared in a few hours with a dozer or skidder. I do agree with you that new drill pads, drill cuttings, and recent movement of drill shacks by a skidder or bulldozer are easy to see from the air. Tracks made by rabbits popping out of drill holes on the other hand are more difficult to see and require a very keen eye.
