> VLNC is indeed producing laptop batteries

Then how come in all the literature I see at work, as well as all the internet searches I've done, I have not seen a SINGLE laptop which comes with LithPoly batteries.

Word I've heard is that they are producing "samples" and looking for a contract for "mass production."

Laptop batteries are always a custom job these days, as they have to specifically match the size, shape and energy needs of the laptop they go into. If somebody's producing them it's becuase somebody else has specified EXACTLY what they need to produce, IOW, because there is a definite deal.

In other words, nobody in this business produces stuff for "inventory", they produce to fulfil a contract and such contracts are usually announced.

If they've actually got a deal, I'd be interested.
