Market magnets 4.12.99 notes: Dow: Mids all up. Weekly buy rating. Watching key 10193 and 10352 utrends closely. Nasdaq: Mids all up. Weekly buy rating. 4.14 cross date has been adjusted (by metastocks amazing ability to change tline values, one of my few peevs with their software) to 4.15-4.16 area. Occurs in the 2576 area. 2570 is the key tline spoke of last week. How the nasdaq reacts to it on a likely weak open tomorrow will speak volumes. I expect it to be near the bottom of tomorrows morning dip. If this tline fails to hold (end of day) a likely trip to 2497 will come in short (pardon the pun) order. SP500: Mids all up. Weekly buy rating. Notice the 86 line (1335 utrend) did not change values from last week, this is a metastock ordeal and I have to live with it. Changes the tline cross last week from Friday to Thursday but one day and a point or two is really no big deal at these levels. Nasdaq 100: Mids all up. Weekly buy rating. 2115 utrend should hold (end of day) on pullback. Russel2K: 400 utrend value Monday. Weekly buy signal given but not a real strong one. Needs confirmation of a close this Friday with the buy signal still in tact. Failure of breakdown on H&S pattern is quite bullish.
