I will follow up on my balance situation. This is in my IRA so I have less margin for error, so to speak.

If this theory pans out, then my complaint is that there is inadequate notice of the pricing. Put another way, this suggests that to have the best chance to participate, one should have funds available the week of the pricing.

I can't wait for the real time balances feature. Any idea when that comes on line? It will probably change this algorithm.

Well, guess what? I now have a "net outstanding call". There was not sufficient funds as of market close last night, but there was yesterday morning. So the allocation is done based on the account opening balance!

All I can say is: their software must be an awful kludge. But hey, if we know the algorithm, at least we can use it. I can't imagine this still working this way in 6 months (though I can't understand why I don't have realtime balances either).
