"True practitioners of momentum investing favor no
particular industries. They simply go where the growth is,"
says momentum investor Carlton Lutts. Employing this
principle, Lutts recommends four companies in today's two
hottest growth sectors: the Internet and the drug industry.
Lutts maintains "wait" recommendations on all of these
stocks because of the market's current volatility, but he
also advises getting ready to buy once the time is right.

His first recommendation is America Online (AOL). The
largest and most profitable Internet company is also the
default play for institutional investors afraid of the
sector's volatility. Lutts says the number of funds owning
AOL jumped from 371 to 442 in the fourth quarter. Revenues
for that quarter rose 62% to $960 million and earnings grew
a healthy 350% to $0.09 per share.
