At 1 o'clock the wind canted to west north west, freshening a little, giving me a tip top run. Am now some 3 hours from Alpena with harbor tug ahead, making the run 15 hours. That took us a little above Black River at 6 o'clock yesterday morning; then got wind from west and southwest, blowing hard. Worked close into Huron piers at noon. They have another load of wheat for me at Huron.
