I don't think Intel has SPECIFIC disclosures on the software compilers.

However, by inference, many of Intel's customers - Sun, Compaq, SCO/IBM, Oracle, etc. have published reports about successfully porting their software (OS and applications) to the Merced emulator.

They had to use an "IA64" compiler for this, also running under emulation mode.

The compiler, like most compilers, will most likely always be a "work in progress", improving over time.
