I believe S&P's rating is based on the previous quarter
and outlook which was not good but still up beat and
they had made 2 quarter of profit in a roll back then.

Looks like the subordinated debt rating was CCC+ -- which is junk (as I remember). The short term cash rating was B (probably because of its revolving debt agreements which it can still draw on (at least until a bank cancels). AMD finances look perilous to me. Its cash is badly impaired and the company needs an infusion of perhaps $300 million immediately. Any one want to ante up and help these guys?
