1) Yup. He was at WANG running the SERVICE business. Check it if you don't believe me.

2) MSFT is eating most people's lunch, (dinner and breakfast, too). Yes Banyan is doing a very respectable job in system services. The deal with MSFT is to help provide a MIGRATE path and services to VINES customers for NT and Exchange products. Check that, too.

3)MSFT is nervous about NDS only as a ST problem. Active Directory is going to be the foundational directory service for most users when Win 2000 gets fully deployed. StreetTalk doesn't even enter into the picture or relationship with MSFT. MSFT has no interest in ST as it's directory (or even a directory "backup" for AD). They DO care about how it could easily migrated over to AD as customers migrate.

3) We agree here. The new opps for the old Banyan (not SB folks) is in the Internet space. There are tons of fresh ideas here.
