We're getting the rain here too. Glad I went yesterday. The big storm turned out to be 10 minutes of drizzle last night. Tried out a Shimano Bantum Curado reel yesterday. Pricey but worth the money. Really smooth.

One of my favorite lines from the movie "Caddyshack" is Bill Murray talking about his new Grass Formula "It's A Hybrid" In Texas we have a different kind of Hybrid, we call 'em PitBulls with Gills. Crossbreed between a White Bass and a Striped Bass. Shorter but fatter than a Striper and meaner than a White, awesome springtime fun. Using 10-12lb tackle and small roadrunner/bucktail type jigs with a worm or grub trailer, slow rolling or hopping the jig along the riprap, hang onto your rod bubba, it's like a freight train to hell. Weather: Partly cloudy to sunny, 60's to 80's light to moderate winds I will be on the water all weekend. Have fun. jb3
