sotfware news: SUNW- Trades post-split today. HDNG- Just announced a Q1 earnings warning. The company wrapped the bad news in a proposed stock buyback. TURF- Hot Internet IPO of the day priced at $22, led by Alex Brown and Hambrect and Quist. WCOM- Lehman upgrades the stock today. VTSS- After the Thursday close the company reported earnings just ahead of expectations on sharply higher revenue. IDTC- Softbank is supposedly in talks to invest in IDTC's Net2Phone division. MGCX- Up 76% Thursday continuing a run from $9 Friday. Tuesday Bear Stearns reiterated a buy rating with an end of year price target of $35, the stock closed Thursday at $37.

IPO news: iTurf (TURF), was priced at $22 per share in it's initial public offering of 4.2 million shares. iTurf was priced at the high end of its expected price range of $21-$22. iTurf is an internet company geared toward teenagers. USInternetworking's (USIX) initial public offering of 6 million shares was priced above its expected range of $16-$18 at $21 per share. USIX's service offers integrated package software applications for use in sales, customer support, e-commerce and financial management. Extreme Networks Inc. (EXTR) was priced at $17 per share in its initial public offering of 7 million shares. EXTR was priced above its anticipated price range of $13-$15. EXTR produces software that is used to handle traffic on local area computer networks. Beyond.com (BYND)is offering an additional 4 million shares priced at $35 per share. Ravenswood Winery Inc.'s (RVWD) offering of an additional 1 million shares was priced at $10.50 per share. RVWD currently has 4.6 million shares outstanding.
