lee...<ot><ot> and ultimately on thread... we partnered in the late seventies/early eighties with kawasaki heavy industries who at the time were using ge gas turbines in the compressor modules they were building for production rigs, amazing how antiquated the nippon shipyards were, their manufacturing efficiency was by buying preassembled components, with required delivery days before scheduled installation, and they then needed no technical people, just assemblers...does the concept sound a bit familiar???....most went to china sea and indian ocean projects.. learned a hellavu lot about life and business from the time spent in the far east.......conversely didn't learn a damn thing but to watch my wallet in the mid east... kanpai...ed a.
