I am reminded of the story my father-in-law used to tell (he is now deceased) about London during WWII. An American, living in an English boarding house, somehow managed to obtain a nice beef steak. He asked the landlord if he would boil it for him. The landlord said yes. The American said, "I thought you would, you son of a b!tch."
