The issue here, blankmind, is leadership. And right now, there is a void -- at least a perceived void since MSFT has publicly stated they're looking to hire from the outside for the new head of MSN.

Until MSFT fills the void there, the Market will not reward MSFT with the valuation that it probably commands considering the property it is developing in the MSN business.

I do agree, however, that with Ballmer spending at least some of his time running the show over there, that there will be more acquisition news coming for MSN.

If anything, they can use the lack of leadership PR to their advantage as the negative PR may ease some scrutiny from the DOJ on some of MSFT maneuvers in this arena. We shall see.
