Mark there are in fact a lot more people on earth using telephones....to connect to the Internet. That is the big difference. Also ADI is but one of the chip makers who use AWRE, others like LU, Siemens and STMicro. should be considered. It is strange we hear little from TI & Amati since the buy, but I guess it was good for Amati and the jury is still out on TI's benefit.

I really have to run now.

Speaking of Centillium. Check out the patent they were issued last week on a filter in the CO line card. Go to www.uspto.gov and run a search using ttl/adsl, it is the most recent finding. Tim

Mark, appreciate and agree with your points, with one exception:

<..there are not a lot more people on earth using telephones in one year...>

In fact, new voice lines are STILL growing faster than new data lines (this is expected to cross over within a year or so), and BOTH are growing very quickly.

(BTW, word is yesterday was a lot of short covering.)
