Don, have been thinking the whole "war" is staged to give the "reason" the market can correct. We've rarely daily publicized being involved in anything so negative lately. They've already taught the lessons that:

-earnings don't matter
-fundamentals don't matter
-accounting gimmics don't matter
-misleading advise and lies don't matter
-other countries crisis don't matter
-record trade deficits don't matter
-3 years of declining PC sales don't matter
-bussiness cycle has been eliminated ie new paradigm
etc, etc

They need to set the stage so that history will show the "reason" as some unpredictable event, certainly not visible fundamental deterioration or the head of the Fed's previously rational comments <g>. A recent Buffett interview really decided this for me when he said it shouldn't matter to a real investor if the market was to shut down for two years . Now if they can just come up with a reason to shut the market down for two years and freeze the prices so investors (of the 20 grossly overvalued generals) don't get hurt... I personally don't think the first nuclear world war would be worth it, but we've seen some fantastic "dog wagging" lately. This is way out of control. As a certain Captain once noted, the game is bigger than they are now. Oh yeah, and that Buffet interview was within a couple weeks of Kosovo.

happy trading,
Tom
