PF, Re: Something is wrong if you think the success of your company is
dependant upon the failure of one of its competitors

And I can assure you that none of the frequent posters here think that
way. We are all feeling very comfortable about Intel the company
and INTC the stock. Some may be a bit disappointed why it doesn't
have a PE like MSFT though :-)

AMD's failures quite often drag INTC down with them, as evidenced yesterday and the other two times this quarter when AMD warned. Street no clue problem. I personally would rather see a stronger company, with good top management, running second to Intel. I think it would be better for all around. I don't see any fear of AMD here, just people reacting to FUD. That FUD is like whistling past the graveyard, to me, when you consider it's about a perennial loser like AMD.

Reminds me of your hatred and vehemence against Microsoft while you were praying for the resuscitation of Novell.

This thread is amazing in its AMD obsession

That's because it constantly gets egged on by AMD-biased posters saying how this-and-that of AMD's is better and will kill Intel, or how AMD's won because Intel has to lower prices to put AMD out of business. If these posters dropped their AMD rhetoric then you'd hear almost nothing about AMD here.

"and it is frightening to see that much of what Intel investors have to say here is directed against AMD"

On the AMD thread they speak highly of Intel don't they?
