The dead KLA typically had ID. Most were Albanian Nationals, some had American dog tags, some had german uniforms, and "some" were ethnic Albanian Kosovans. The Serbs claim that was evidence of NATO funding and support for the KLA. They also claim the US military was involved covertly for many years. However, I don't know that for sure even if the dog tags report is true. A lot of US ex-military guys get involved with mercenary stuff around the world.
