I too have sold all my JD holdings to improve my chances to make some gains. He may be knowledgeable enough to make money for his managed accounts, but it's tough to make decisions based on his newsletter as he does not seem to perform fundamental analysis on his stocks. If he does do some FA, he doesn't share the salient FA analysis with his readers so you end up making decision purely based on his opinion without any foundation of facts or FA. Of course now that I've cut the cord to JD, he'll probably return to his winning ways. Good fortune to all of you.
