Steve...I believe your recollection as to what 5fer said re AV is correct. You forgot rule #1 though. Don't belive a word he says. Steve

Personally, I think he said this because the announcement itself seemed so ill prepared. At the time, I expressed my opinion that the AV announcement was only made because CPQ was alerted that someone else was going to leak CPQ's intention and had to say something fast. If you recall, CPQ was in talks with MSFT about something at the time so in the back of my mind, I was thinking the person about to spill the beans might be a MSFT employee. If the powers that be at CPQ had had their own way, I do not think we would have heard a peep about AV until AV was beefed-up and CPQ was on the verge of filing the S-1. Lynn
