Alex, a lurker on the thread, gave me the following link. It appears to have worked. It found the Trojan horse in an instant and reported that it had removed it. Only time will tell. The hacker was active today - he/she set up a Content Administrator with his/her own password and denied me access to all my usual sites including this one.

I really recommend it. It is faster, easier to use and - more importantly - more successful than the MacFee programme. But thank to Rasco for giving the MacFee link which I used to ge rid of a lot of junk.
