"Longs like zurdo never reach that point. "

Well, you never know. I know I was pretty married to a couple of fundamentally great stocks that the shorts bashed until I lost quite a bit of money. <g> Heck, the first time my path crossed Tony's was when he shorted the hell out of a stock I was married to in the summer of '97. I really can't say how similar to zurdo's my comments to him would have been had I had the opportunity to interact with him.

"Well, both those paths lead to financial problems and they will not admit it no matter how hard you try to rationally express that point - I gave up on them a long time ago!"

It's much easier to blame someone other than yourself. Unfortunately, the path of least resistance never leads to profits. I am glad that you learned, almost as glad as I am that I did. <g>

I can attest to the 'hanging on for emotional reasons' part. It didn't occur to me until after the blood bath, what I was doing. I still think I'm doing it to some degree hanging on to ENMD.

Cheers!
