Thanks for the confirmation. I did try to go to SI through the GNET site, and noticed that it looks as if the posts are also delayed by a couple hours. Is that always the case? Todd

But go2net members can post on the coffee shop threads and they do see ads. I don't know if they can use pm's or not. They pay no fees as I understand it. So the rule seems to be - paying members whoever they are don't see ads, and those that have free id's do see ads, however they come in. I think gnet broke off the coffee shop and considers it a separate entity of sorts. Theres a lot of potential there since SI is superior platform for discussion forums than anything yahoo has.
