Jeffrey: "Well, if PigBoy, or PigMan, or PigWhatever was still here he could probably help you. A little while back when AMAT was @62 or so he said that according to his charts AMAT was a "perfect" short. I can only assume, however, that with earning announcement coming up for AMAT in May, perhaps someone is betting they will not be very good."

I won't speak for PIGMAN who can oink for himself, but one should realize that AMAT will have a great quarter. There is no question and everyone knows it. AMAT has been telling the analysts all week in one way or another -- wink, wink. It is in the stock price to a large extent. So, invest or trade with that knowledge in mind.

I did not short AMAT when I learned of the copper rollout plans and all the analyst meetings this week. You cannot fight a long line of portfolio managers who will call in their buy orders after learning what is obvious to everyone except them for some reason. The timing would have been off. No offense to AMAT longs. AMAT is a great company. I am just trying to make a buck.
