I was just looking at two sensational charts - Altera and LSI. These two are going bonkers! Coincidentally there was an article in EETimes last week about these two in a sort of head-to-head duel for each others market space. ATML has to further differentiate itself from its roots and define a successful growth strategy to deal with this type of formidable competition. Every Quarter counts. Its like a horse race, the gates are open and ATML is still emerging from the starting blocks while these others are past the first furlong.

This thread goes conspicuously quiet when Atmel's price erodes, as it has done for the several days since its high volume rise on April 6. This is normal price action for Atmel. However, I still see the next major move to be up on high volume. And let us remember Atmel's actions a couple of years ago when it absolutely exploded to the upside. Several of us bought more in the 15s last week; I'd be really surprised to see that price again.

But whaddawino. Cheers/t
