Lynn: 1. For people who follow she_x at the CPQ Club, how did she come up with her comment that sales for March were the best ever, more than January and February combined?

January and February must have really been BAD! Can't find it at the moment, but rudedog made a "comment" about she_x's sources a while back that may shed some light. If you're not familiar with the reference, I'll try and locate it.

Lynn: I have not been able to get back on the thread before now, it has been overused.

Re: she_x information, you will have to ask her where she got her information. I notice that 45 mins before the warning today she was posting that the CPQ Board of Directors was acting very strangely today. She said that all senior people had been shut out: that there was an extra tight clamp down on earnings leaks. She did not know what to make of it. It looks like she thought it was about an announcement but probably about a new strategy. She also thought that Mason might be going. I wonder if any of us had read that post would we have concluded that it was a warnign of such proportions?

(2) I was lucky that an order I had in all day at 1/4 was not
filled. I reduced my holding last week in the hope of catching a dip of 2 points. I still have a large holding. I will be "happy" if it does not breach $25 or $23 at the worsed. I would sell at open but the gap down will be a killer and it looks like a hold might be the best thing, so far.

(3) I think the news is of such a nature that it is indefensible. At the same time I know that the most important thing to do right now is to be cool, analyse and act in your own best interest.

Good luck.
