I for one believe that most pcmakers will be suffering lower profits relative to their recent history since PC prices are dropping significantly. Companies such a emachines are entering the market with a boom and a low cost pc philosophy. That will surely change the outlook of investors when comparing CPQ, Dell and other pc makers to inets and other hightech stocks. Just an opinion though. Comments appreciated.

The conversations on the Dell thread were pointing this out about two weeks ago. Now, I have stopped trying to predict what the NASDAQ will do on earnings news. Some earnings are great and the NASDAQ drops. Some earnings are horrible and the NASDAQ shrugs it off and moves up. Go figure?!! The closer we get to the listing announcement, the more this stock will become immune to the rest of the market's direction. And we are getting very close! Besides, if it drops, then the call options will become cheaper and I can load up again - LOLOL. Crazy Canuk
