Bill! I'm a Canadian, trading on line up here through a Canadian bank service, so can't suggest one, but, advice: look for quality not cheap price. You're going to pay substantially less by on line trading anyhow so why split hairs. When its hot and heavy you want reliabilty, not to save $8 on a trade. Also, your account access speed and presentation of O/S orders and fills etc. are important and perhaps viewing your preferred on line trader through someones computer who is using them is worth the effort. Its a bitch to be dissatisfied and have to cancel and switch trader and accounts etc. Do your homework and choose right the first time. In any event have a great weekend and really enjoy your valuable posts......C

I use Etrade but don't like it. Like many of the on-line brokers, they're growing too fast and as a result the customer service is sorely lacking. There is a thread on SI for comparing brokers. After perusing there I decided that AB Wately would be worth a try; just haven't gotten around to doing it yet.

Hope this helps...

Bill

I use Schwab. They run $29.95 a trade but the quality of their service is excellent. I have NEVER had a problem and they often fill below my limits.
