Sonny and ALL,

At first the news about Compaq was hard to take and indeed there will be much fanfare and stories over the weekend. I truly think that eventually Compaq will have new management and the company will come to life again. In sympathy I think there will be some serious volatility but my instincts once again are telling me to stay calm and stay put. I have always regreted selling the big names only to get back in them at a much later date at much higher prices or missing them completely.Intel will be fine, Microsoft, Dell, AOL will be fine. Compaq is in a crisis and needs someone who can be trusted and deliver profitability to the shareholders. It will in my opinion reorganize and grow again.

Best Wishes to all and write to you when I get back

In Fondness
Frank
